Recall: Teething rattle and dummy chain have been deemed a choking risk

ATTENTION PARENTS: These teething rattles and dummy chains by Sabiha Designs are being recalled due to the products not complying with relevant mandatory standards.

Sold nationwide via Facebook the rattle and dummy chain have beads which can come loose, and they present a choking hazard to babies and young children, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission reports.

Here is all the information you need to know.

Two baby products are being recalled

Sabiha Designs have been selling their products nationally from February 24 2018June 13 2018. The two products which are used for teething babies, under recall are:

1. Dummy Chains – Silicon beads attached to a clip and then to baby’s clothing for dummy to be attached to.

2. Teething Rattle – Silicon beads with wooden rings attached for baby to chew on to relieve teething pain.

The ACCC say “if the beads come loose, they present a choking hazard to babies and young children.”

As these have been proven to be unsafe for children’s use, consumers who have purchased the product will be sent an envelope to return the product and a full refund will be provided.
