According to New Idea the pair found out they were to become parents in August, despite several negative pregnancy tests.

“We fell madly in love and it happened really quite quickly,” Lauren told New Idea. “The stars are aligning. Everything’s perfect.”

The 27-year-old found out she was expecting via a blood test, and couldn’t wait to tell her partner, Facetiming Barry as she waited to board a plane. The former AFL tough man says he was concerned about what the public would think of their pregnancy, “But in the end we just didn’t care,” he says. “We’re just us and we’re happy.”

Lauren has moved to Melbourne to be with the 39-year-old father-to-be saying, “Barry would never be mean to me. He’s so beautiful, he’s like my protector… I feel he’s going to be the best dad.”

The actress was embroiled in a scandal with ex with NRL star Beau Ryan, after allegations the pair had an affair.
