Mums are natural multitaskers; we can soothe a baby and negotiate a tense sibling standoff all while whipping up a healthy meal without so much as breaking a sweat. So here’s a curious contraption that promises to give any parent even more chance to rule the world while completing parenting duties. Introducing: the Swipe & Feed!
Touted as an extra helping hand for bottle feeding parents, it means while bub is sorted suckling, you can get busy swiping. Dad, Tim Causa, came up with the Swipe & Feed after a 3am bottle feeding epiphany.
“Every night I would wake up every two hours to the sound of Jack screaming for a bottle. As soon as he started feeding, Jack would nearly fall back asleep. For 25 minutes at a time, I was in a dark, quiet room feeding my son. It dawned on me that I could do some catch-up work while he fed, but I needed something to help me hold a bottle and my smartphone. I searched online for solutions, but nothing was on the market. That’s when I decided to seize the opportunity and solve the problem myself,” Tim explains.
So he invented the Swipe & Feed, which can hold any regular width baby bottle and a smartphone simultaneously. The makers insist it gives users the chance to make good use of the time they spend bottle feeding (when you’re not gazing lovingly into your bub’s eyes!).
If the crowdfunding campaign is successful, it’ll be available in December, but here at Healthy Mummy, we are still unsure if I’m filing this find under fabulous or frivolous. What do you think?
