Better buy your Ed Sheeran tour tickets while you can, as the Castle on the Hill singer says as soon as he becomes a dad he’ll put a halt on his tour schedule!
Ed, who has been dating his childhood friend Cherry Seaborn since 2015, has made no secret of his desire to have kids in the near future.
In an interview with Good Morning Britain, the messy-haired star also revealed if he does become a dad, he will stop touring around the world to focus on fatherhood.
“I don’t want to be touring when I have kids,” he says.
“I want to be like nipping out every now and then and being able to actually be a father so yeah, I think I would definitely love kids, I would definitely love all the kids in the world but I don’t want to have them right now.”
It’s not the first time Ed has gushed about becoming a dad. The 26-year-old singer recently confessed he dreams of bringing up his future little ones in the countryside.
“This is my idea of happiness; living in the countryside, having a multitude of children always around me and my wife by my side,” he told Vanity Fair.
“Writing songs every day and then going to pick up my kids at school … I’m ready [to be a dad], but then it’s not me who has to carry a baby in the belly for nine months, so it’s not just up to me.”

We can’t help but notice that Ed has changed his tune (not literally) in the last couple of weeks, as last month he told Vodafone’s Big Top 40 show: “I’d love to have loads of babies. I would have a tour bus baby when the tour was, like, not that intense.”
Maybe he’s gone away and thought more about how unrealistic a ‘baby tour bus’ would be? Like, what if his babies aren’t car lovers and where will he store all those nappies? LOL!
Either way, touring or not touring, we reckon Ed would be an awesome dad – and come up with the best lullabies EVER!
