Choosing a name for your child is something that takes time, considered thought and a lot of research!
Regretting your baby name is not ideal and someone who isn’t gelling with her choice is Kim Kardashian West.
Kim revealed that her third child’s name Chicago West, doesn’t FLOW and is TOO LONG for her liking, so much so that she’s shortened it to Chi!
Kim Kardashian is second thinking her daughters name
As names are forever, choosing one that is right for you and your family is quite crucial.
Now 7 months old, Chicago’s name is still a topic of conversation in the West household.
Kim said in a YouTube video, “Chicago just looks really long to me and doesn’t flow, so I call her Chi. That’s it, she can decide later if she wants to be called Chicago or Chi…
When she first came out I was like ‘what do we name her?’ It was the hardest decision ever and I could not think of a name.”
There’s always the middle name to fall back on
Even though Chicago doesn’t hasn’t a middle name on her birth certificate, Kim gave her one (Instagram-offical) to make Chicago’s name more short with Noel as her middle moniker.
Despite her husband, Kanye West, not liking the name at all, Kim said,
“I haven’t really been into middle names, but I really wanted a name that was short. A one-syllable name. Noel is my middle name, and it’s not a one-syllable name, but it’s short.”
What happens if you’ve chosen a name but it doesn’t suit your baby?
This was the case for Kim and Kanye when Chicago was born. They had a handful picked out, and once they saw their new baby girl, they said none of them SUITED their baby girl.
“We were going to name her Rei and spell it R-e-i for Kanye’s dad Rei and she doesn’t look like a Rei. We were going to call her Jo for Mary Jo and have it be Jo West. She doesn’t look like a Jo.” Kim said.
