A Victoria’s Secret model honours her autistic son in such a lovely way

Here at The Healthy Mummy, we are inclined to avoid stereotyping children with their ‘disabilities’ or special needs.

But Victoria’s Secret model, Lais Ribeiro paid tribute to her son, Alexandre who has autism by posting a photo to her Instagram.

The Brazilian mum is pictured getting a tattoo of the symbol of autism and kids with special needs (a ribbon covered with a puzzle piece pattern).

Keep scrolling to see her lovely caption and tribute.

So this just happened guys! I always wanted to do a second tatto and I couldn’t find anything meaningful enough till a meeting that I had couple weeks ago about autism and kids with special needs. Don’t know if you guys know and I was never open about it but my son was diagnosed with autism 5 years ago. My first tatto is his name on the back of my neck and finally I found what I wanted to be my second. I decided to do the symbol of autism( and kids with special needs) as a tatto and it’s beautiful and perfect just the way I wanted to be thanks to @robgreennyc THANK YOU SO MUCH! I’m so happy about it❤️ it means A LOT to me! ❤️

Lais Ribeiro gets second tattoo dedicated to son

Riberio said she was inspired to get another tattoo (she already has one of her sons name on her neck) after she had a meeting about kids with special needs.

Alexandre was diagnosed with autism 5 years ago and Riberio said she was never really open about it. Getting this second tattoo means a lot to the mum of one, as she said, “it’s beautiful and perfect just the way I wanted [it] to be.”

She goes on to explain the meaning of the symbol of autism in her Instagram Stories and says the puzzle piece pattern represents “the complexity of the autism spectrum.”

We honestly could not smile when seeing this post Lias!
