Soon-to-be Princess Meghan Markle reveals her day on a plate

Ever wanted to know what a future Princess typically eats in a day? Not only are we revealing the information, we’re showing you how you can do it too!

Meghan use to share her health and fitness tips on her blog The Tig, however, since becoming a royal-to-be, she has closed the account. Luckily for us – her tips are still out there!

For example, in an interview for Shape, Meghan said, “I love love love food, and I really think shifting your perspective from ‘dieting’ to ‘lifestyle eating’ is the most important change we can make,” which is exactly what we here at The Healthy Mummy stand for and promote.

Healthy, balanced eating is where success is seen when it comes to weight loss, weight management and creating a healthy lifestyle. See how Meghan is just like us (well, we like to think so anyways).

What Meghan Markle eats in a day

When Meghan was a busy working woman on her TV series, Suits, she would make sure she was organised and cook in bulk. The future British Princess meal preps? That’s right!

“I generally cook a box of quinoa, and while it’s simmering, I saute onions, garlic and any veggies I have on hand in a separate pan,” Markle told Chalkboard. 

She then puts the veggie mixture onto the finished quinoa or poured on top of a kale salad.

She also swaps coffee for green juice and simple water! “I try to drink two litres a day, which is sometimes seemingly impossible, but absolutely worth it,” she told Liz Earle Wellbeing magazine.

Breakfast: A glass of hot water and lemon, followed by a breakfast of porridge with bananas and agave syrup. She told Chalkboard that she also also started her days with a shake which consisted of vanilla shake powder with blueberries.

Lunch: Salad “with protein of some kind” Meghan told Best Health adding that her perfect lunch would be “great sashimi.”

Snack:  Apples with nut butter and sea salt.
